Alvanian

Alvanian is a language derived from constellations. It is also known as the language of the stars, and the language of the natural world.

It is read and written top to bottom, left to right with words appearing as constellations and sentences as connections between these constellations.

It is the primary language used by Alvans as, given that Alvanian is the language of starcalling, it was the natural mode of communication developed.

This language has been mostly lost to time in human civilisations, with barely any humans being able to speak this language. Most starcallers are able to piece together short bits and pieces of the written language from their knowledge of constellations; However, most merely memorise a few specific constellations so are unable to understand the diverse variety of vocabulary used. Moreover, more complex vocabulary or sentence structures, as well as the spoken language, are not used by humans at all.

Only few starcallers in the modern era have been able to truly understand the language of the stars. These include Alastair the first, Volei (Volentine) Soraya, (and micah soraya??).
