Ace

Ace and Ather are BEST FRIENDS!! Ace is the person Ather is closest with and trusts the most. He's the person Ather feels the most comfortable being 100% herself around, as he feels like he'll never judge her for anything. He's also really trustworthy and reliable, which goes well with Ather's clinginess and uhh.. attachment issues lol. Basically, he shows her that even when she's being herself and not trying to be perfect, he will always stay and be there for her.

Ather's ~chaotic~ nature and excitement in trying new things and messing around goes well with Ace's structure and routine. Ace helps Ather become more organised while Ather helps Ace get out of his comfort zone more.

When she first met him, Ather was kind of scared of Ace since he seemed really perfect. She was jealous of how easy he made school look, and how well he did. She later learned that he's very silly and scared of everything and everyone which made him more approachable lol.

Cast

Cast and Ather were once childhood friends! Ather originally liked hanging out with him since he was really quiet and not great at school which made her feel better about herself. As they got closer, Ather now really admires his art and music skills. He's also one of the only people she feels like she can be herself around, and the only person that she feels comfortable venting to since she knows he won't judge (considering he's probably felt the same way or had it worse) and genuinely cares

Adri

Amylase

Amylase is incredibly perfectionistic and is basically top of the class, which made Ather scared of her at first since she sees her as kind of a "threat"? Amylase also likes to take charge, which competes with Ather's similar need to be the leader when they're both together. Amylase is also really critical of others, which does NOT go well with Ather's need for external validation and fear of others seeing her as less than perfect.

Sooo basically, in the beginning, these two HATED each other. They were constantly competing against one another, and Ather's messiness annoyed the HELL out of Amylase.

Now, though, they are good friends in an enemies to friends kinda way lol. They still constantly insult and berate each other, and compete over meaningless things, but in a fun, friends kinda way). If they stop fighting over first place, the both of them are amazing leaders when working together, and can kind of get anything done (dream team !!!). Amylase is also the only one who's willing to go super hardcore at school like Ather and spend ungodly amounts of time studying and working on assignments after school together :>

Solace

Solace - These two share one braincell while together and will get up to the WILDEST STUPIDEST shenanigans LMAO

Callum

Callie (Ms Laurel)

Ather IDOLISES Ms Laurel !!! Ather thinks she's the coolest person ever and looks up to her a lot: She's confident, funny, energetic, good at the arts. Ather kind of sees parts of her in Ms Laurel and things that she wants to be. She craves her validation a lot and really really wants to be her favourite student.

Ather enjoys her class a lot (it's super fun!!) and always has lots of fun talking to her— she can yap about anything and Ms Laurel will listen to her.

Eliot (Mr Grace)

Ather doesn't idolise Mr Grace as much as she does Ms Laurel, but she still really wants his approval. He's her English teacher, and she loves literature / storytelling and wants to become a screenwriter despite English being her worst subject. As such, she sees Mr Grace as a role model in that regard and any bit of approval she gets from him about her English means the world to her.

However, with English being her worst subject, she's constantly scared that he secretly hates her or looks down on her because of how bad her English is.
